- I don't know the program you're referring to (AdPro Tools),
- but i've seen a program that does what you're asking - and more.
-
- When I saw it (at the Cologne show in Germany Nov. 1994) it was
- running in conjunction with the PAR - Producing layered video
- and animations. It has spline control for all kinds of masking,
- blurring, rotation, moves, compositing, etc. found in AdPro.
-
- It is based on Arexx-control of AdPro and the UI is icon based
- where you string the icons (AdPro operations: Load, Operate, Save)
- together with lines.
-
- So think f.ex. of a blank page with a column of icons to the left.
- Those would represent the source images to be combined (PAR-images,
- Amiga images from disk, Masks from wherever).
-
- Those would be paired together into an icons with an operand.
- "Inside" these icons would be the parameters to be varied over time
- (mostly spline based controls).
-
- When all operands are strung together it would end in an icon
- to the right - The SAVE icon. Usually this would be the return of
- the completed image to PAR.
-
- The benefit here, when thinking of operation on PAR-images,
- is that it would only neccessitate one cycle of decompression
- and compression - Regardless of how many "layers" were being
- combined.
-
- It looked very interesting. I was told you could choose to
- use ImageFX if you wanted. If it may be used WITHOUT the
- PAR, I do not know.
-
- The program is called NECOS - It is produced in Germany.
-
- When visiting the Cologne Show in Nov. 95 I was told that
- NECOS had been further developed. No expert was available,
- though. A possible contact COULD be "phase 5" in Germany.
- NECOS was presented at the booth showing the Cyber-products
- in 1994.
-
- I also seem to recall that I've seen it advertized
- in an English Amiga Magazine (Could it be White Knight
- Technology Ltd in England?).
-
- Others may have additional information??
